Corban was a little dumbfounded. When his CO was clearly out of view and hearing range, he spoke to his bunkmate Chris in a hushed voice.
"That did seem kinda useless, now didn't it?"
He patted Chris's shoulder, and then motioned for Chris to follow. Corban made his way toward their room and hit the open button. The door slid open, and he walked in.
"I got dibs on top bunk."

Raol was last out of the briefing room, observing the crew. He could see that this would be an interesting set of men under his command. The two females, one definately attracted to the other. He chuckled a little, then scolded himself for thinking about them together..... He walked back towards the bridge, thinking about later on, when he might join everyone in the bar, if he was lucky.

Chris ginned and followed Corban, "Its an officer, they are useless," he grabbed his bag from the back of the room slinging it onto his back, when they reached the bunk room he kicked the bag under his bunk, "i got a couple of things to take care of, I'll meet up with you in whatever passes for a pub on this junk heap."

Capt. Wolf Blitz paced back and forth impatiently beneath the racks holding the squadron's TIE variants. "Where are my pilots?" he muttered angrily "And my orders, for that matter."
He gazed upward. TIE l/n's. A pair of TIE Scouts, a few Interceptors. He wished mightily for the fabled Phantoms and Defenders, but this fleet would not be getting those anytime soon.
He chased a tech droid away from an Assault gunboat and considered going to the comlink. He winced. Didn't pay to anger the upper ranks. He'd wait a bit.

Zeck and his 2 stormtrooper bodyguards walked into the fighter bay, "Captain Blitz," he called out.
Returning the mans salute, "I have some good news and some better news for you, the good news is that Chris Ellis, the pilot I requisitioned off you earlier is about to lead a group of rebels into an ambush, I'm sending you in to make sure that one is captured alive, the better news is that a shipment of the new Tie Advanced will be arriving in this sector in two days, a compliment of 12 will be available for your squadron, use them well."

"That is excellent news indeed!" Blitz remarked. TIE Avengers, while lacking the power of the Defenders, were formidable craft in their own right. Rumours flew about top pilots using Avengers to defeat traitors from Zaarin's fleet flying stolen Defenders. "Sir. If they arrive before this assigment begins, I will fly one personally," he said. "I will assign gunboats to my wingmen, as only they have the ion cannons needed for a live capture." He paused. "Unless we have been issued Magpulse torpedoes as well.."
The officer shook his head. "No. They are of no use in this situation anyway. They only disable weapons systems. Be ready for the alert," he said. They traded salutes and strode away.
Blitz blinked. Possibly using an Avenger-gunboat mix on this mission, and he'd chased that droid away? He went trotting after the machine, wishing he'd read its serial number. That thing had work to do!

"Unfortunately they wont be arriving until after your next mission so ill leave it up to you whether to take the gunboats or interceptors," said Zeck just before the captain left, he turned around and walked back to the bridge, he had a hit and run to plan...
--------------------------------------------------
Chris had first gone to the hangar bay where he had first arrived, grabbing some kit from the back of the shuttle he went down to the launch bay, opening his X-wings cockpit he climbed in, adjusting the controls to suit him, it took him a couple of minutes longer than it should as he was so used to interceptors.
Climbing back out he sealed the canopy and went over to a wall terminal, he took the datapad he had "borrowed" and plugged a datachip into it, the programs on it wormed their way into the programming of the ship, a simple menu came up, he checked his own flight and a flight of B-Wings, the planned navigational course would not appear any different until milliseconds before entry, when it would be changed slightly so that they would brush the edge of the interdictors gravity shadow.
He closed down the datapad and scrambled the pathways he had used, unplugging the datapad he walked out of the room whistling quietly.
He dumped the datapad in the canteen in a discrete corner and after snapping it into quarters dumped the datachip in the trash, then he headed for the pilots bar with a spring in his step.

Janus was heading for the bar himself when he heard whistling. He came around a corner and caught sight of the pilot with curious posture walking out of the fighter bay. He had a bit of a spring to his step and was walking considerably different than his posture had indicated he would earlier. He kept a ways back from the man and watched him practically skip down the hallway.

Corban had settled in, to a degree. All of his clothes were on the top bunk, in a pile. He waltzed out of the room with nothing but some shorts and a sleeveless shirt, not used to the warmth of the ship yet.
He headed for the bar, his mouth dried from the artificial heat. He rounded a corner to see the back of his bunkmate, and, farther down the hall, he picked up someone watching his bunkmate carefully.
Well. Seems I'm not the only one who's warry about this feller.

Shieya walked next to Nalla toward the barroom. She needed a drink. Glancing to Nalla, she daydreamed for a few seconds. Damn, she needed a drink. Hard.
Into the artificial air of the bar they went, and Shieya sat down next to Nalla. "I want a Pica Thundercloud. Heavy on the lum."
"So, which bunk do you want?" Shieya asked. Giggling a little, she jokingly added, "We could take the same one..."

Chris calmed himself down as he walked into the bar, he saw the pilots scattered about the room, he felt like he needed a couple of minutes on his own though so he took a seat a few chairs down from the Twi'Lek and Zeltron, catching the bartenders eye, "Corusca beer, if you have it."

Nalla's Lekku twitched with acute embarassment, she'd heard of the Zeltrons and their very... outgoing personality, "I'd be happy with the bottom one," she smiled, covering up her nervousness.
She waved a hand at the bartender, "A mix of any Ryllian spirit you have with some tonic."
"So how did you end up joining the Rebels?" she asked Sheiya.

Raol decided he needed a drink. He walked into the bar, and most of the officers stood to attention.
"At ease......I sure am."
A few gave him uneasy smiles, and quickly sat down. He glanced around the room, looking at the different groups. The Two females, the Single male a few seats down. He took an empty table, not expecting anyone to be joining him. They were still nervous about their Captain. Fair enough, he would be.
"Bartender! Something non-alcoholic please, I should be on duty"

Blitz sent for his two best wingmen and outlined the mission. "Some rebels are coming our way and our mission is simple: Ambush them. The only complicating factor is that one must be taken alive, so I will fly a Gunboat, and you two will fly Interceptors. You will provide cover for me and for the transport that will come out to haull the rebel scum home."
He eyed the pilots expectantly. "No questions?" One raised his hand and Blitz nodded. "We only need one alive? That means we can kill the rest..but which one do we take alive?" the pilot asked.
"Let me worry about that," Blitz replied. "Just keep them off my ass while I do the capture."
Briefing over, Blitz picked up his helmet and marched to the overhead gantries. The lesser wings were already climbing into their fighters, having been briefed by their own flight commanders.
Blitzkrieg Two and Three, his wingmen, were at the front of the rack. He waved to them and climbed down to the deck, where the Gunboats waited. Techs were loading the last few missiles into the launchers and removing fuel hoses.
Secured in the cockpit, he put his helmet on. The fighter seemed to disappear, replaced by a flawless 360 degree view, marked only by targeting reticules and other essential HUD information.
"This is Flight Control. Mission commencing at your command," came the control room officer's voice. "Any time you're ready," Blitz replied. "Send the Interceptors first, I'll follow.
Overhead, the fighters moved forward, grabbed by tractor beams and flung into the outer darkness. 12 Interceptors flew howling into the void, and took up holding positions around the ship. Blitz felt his own craft shudder as the launch beam lifted it, and he kept one hand on the throttle as he pushed back into his seat, the hangar bay falling away behind him. He checked his shields; full on, stable all round. He knew he'd be slower than the Interceptors but it shouldn't matter here.
Toggling through his radar display, he found the green markers representing Rebels. "There they are, right on schedule," he told his pilots. "Wings three and four, move in fast and hit the fighters. One and two, throttle back and follow me. I'm going after the shuttle, they seem to be escorting it."
Blitz grinned. There was nothing like the anticipation of battle.

Janus came in a few seconds after Ellis did. He decided to wait a little bit longer before confronting him. But still... He looked around and caught sight of Fleet Admiral Raol. He made his way over towards him and took a seat nearby him.
"Captain." Janus said with a curt nod.
