Janus leaned back after giving up on the cold restart. He wasn't going anywhere. He looked up and saw the torpedo volleys slam into the interdictor.

The Interdictor was heavily damaged, and looked almost incapable of moving. The Gravity well generators were shot.
Raol yelled for a damage report.
"Before the shields could come up fully, we sustained some damage to the outer plating. Nothing a few days in dock couldn't fix. A few torpedoes hit the bays, but no serious damage, forcefields are holding."
Increase the anti-fighter batteries, keep those bombers off us.
Concentrate your fire on the ISD 2's, whilst the fleet escapes to the nearest base. The sooner we can consolidate our forces, the better.
The turbolasers turned, and poured into the ISD's.
Raol broadcast the escape command.
The remaining ships started jumping. The ISD's stopped firing upon the Lentha and started firing at the escaping ships. A Corellian Corvette was ripped apart by the fire. Half of it's engine section jumped into hyperspace, and detonated.
Navigation, move the Lentha between those ISD's and the escaping ships. I want as many as possible to escape.
"All fighter wings, cover the remaining ships escape. As soon as they go, dock. We don't want to be around here when we're the only ones left."
The Assault frigates and the nebulons started going. One nebulon was caught by the turbolasers of the ISD's, and the engines failed. Immediately, Tie Bombers swarmed it, and it was soon picked clean.
Concentrate all fire on the leading ISD.

Admiral Thiyn Zeck groaned as he saw a massive detonation on the hind of his interdictor, damned idiots, turning his attention to the battle he saw the enemy making a run for it, the Lentha was sheilding the enemy fleet, with a merciless smile he said, "all fleet elements, open fire on the Mon Lentha, aim for her engines, once she is dead in space take out as much as you can, Victories slash across her top and go for the units she is shielding.
Looking around to the interdictor he saw it still intact, but barely, its top gravity generators were awash with flame and wreckage spiraled away from massive gouts in the side, the structural integrity was seriously compromised, the glow of broken reactor housing could be seen and it was listing to port, as he watched the ships dorsal spin was reversed and brought back onto an even keel, fires extinguished as interior bulkheads slammed starving oxygen to the flames, "Captain, bring your ship around to the rear of the Devestator and jump to hyperspace, any vector, then go for Kuat.
The Interdictor pulled slowly out of the minefield the carracks firing at any fighter that tried to form up and follow, once in the shadow of his flagship it jetted to speed and leapt away from the system.
Zeck looked over his fleet with a grim smile, one victory had lost about 20% of its starbord turrets and the loronar had lost engine power, one of his carracks was awash with flame as it listed away from a direct barrage from an assault frigate, but the rebels were suffering badly, more so than he was, fighter losses were mounting but were not at critical levels, this engagement had gone well so far.
--------------------------------------------------------
Jack checked down his list of names, "Storm squadron form up on me, the remainders of prowler form up behind us," eleven X-Wings formed up in tight formation around him, one vaped a hopeful interceptor that came too close, "we are going to launch a barrage of torpedos at that ISD give the Lentha's weapons a chance to cause some damage and cover our escape.
--------------------------
Chris pulled up on Storm 5's wing and recieved the torpedo telementary, his R2 unit beeped steadily as it searched for a lock, a solid tone strung out and he fired, the torpedo rocketed forward on a tounge of blue flame, these would barely dent his flagship, its sheilds ran strong at it had a very good captain.

Blitz felt a nagging doubt seeping into his mind as he flew back. There was something else that had to be done. "Avengers, carry on. I'm going back to check on the captures," he called. "Gunboats Mu 1 and 2, form on me and be ready for any desperate acts from the enemy." He pulled his Avenger up hard and rolled an Immellman, heading back the way he had come.
He saw one disabled B-wing sliding to its inevitable capture. He slowed to a near stop and drifted along the outer limit of the beam's effect. The pilot was alive and sitting resignedly in his crash couch. "This one is in the bag," he said, throttling up again and heading toward the second, more damaged B-wing. He stopped his ship mere feet from it, while the gunboats orbited closely, on guard for any potential rescuers.
He stared out the cockpit window right into the angry face of the frustrated pilot. "Be glad, rebel, that the mines shut down when the Interdictor jumped away. You'd be vapour right now otherwise," he muttered. The enemy pilot couldn't hear him, or even see his face. Unfortunate.
He yawed his fighter around and watched the ungainly little tug backing up, its tractors glowing a pale blue. Slowly, the B-wing began to move toward captivity. Blitz matched speeds with the tug, the gunboats following like loyal puppies. He'd see the capture completed. Then, and only then, he could return home.
He watched his radar display as green dots vanished, fighters and corvettes jumping away. This isn't over, he thought. That ship will be destroyed and I will be there to see it, he vowed silently.
It took seemingly forever, but at last the tug entered the star destroyer's forward bay, dragging its prey behind it. Mission complete, Blitz and his two wingmen ducked into the recovery bay.

Corban hollered at the pilot who had dared to fly beside his captured cockpit, as if he were some trophy. He'd give'em hell when he got out. He flipped his fingers multiple times, slapped the crook of his elbow so much that it felt like he popped an artery, and screamed himself hoarse.
The best part is, he knew the whole time the Imp couldn't hear him.

All the fighter wings were just preparing to dock aboard the Lentha.
Screw it, prepare for jump now. I don't care if it's dangerous, those ISD's are dangerous.
"Ok sir. It seems that all remaining elements of their fleet are turning to face or broadside us. We ought to get out of here. Fast."
Ok, make the jump. But first, let's leave a little surprise for them.
The Lentha put on a short, sharp burst of reverse thrust, and released half a dozen CL-3 Clusterbombs from the hull. These started drifting towards the massed ships, and the fighters beginning to dock.
Put a rush on docking those fighters!
Raol sat back on his chair and closed his eyes.

Nalla peppered the tie in front of her with single laser fire, the bolts chewed through the bomber's cockpit just as she heard the call from Storm 5, "Storm squadron form up on me," she pulled the fighter up hard to avoid an interceptors fire, and saw the tinges of an explosion as a squadmate shot it, "thanks," she said, mostly to herself.
Lining her fighter up with the rest of her flight group she received the targeting data from five's R2, in unison with the other fighters she fired. A sea of blue washed out from the massed fighters.
With a mirthless grin she fired the last of her torpedo's and fell back to eights wing keeping an eye open for enemy fighters on their way to intercept them as they headed back for the Lentha.

Thiyn saw the incoming waves of torpedo's and grabbed the intercom, "Incoming heavy torpedo barrage, all hands brace for impact, close all exterior and interior doors" he grabbed the handbar as the first of the incoming volley detonated, filling the forward shield with milky blue fire a few torpedos skipped through and vaporised hull plates and 3 forward turrets, "90 degree turn to starboard," he shouted.
The Annihalator started its turn bringing fresh sheilds which blocked half of the incoming volley, but the other half continued unabated and shook the ship with impact after impact, Thiyn was lifted off his feet but didnt fall owing to his iron grip on the handrail.
"Devestator, this is the admiral," he growled, "Please kill that bastard mon cal while we reform sheilds."
--------------------------------
Captain Alexandros of the 9th emporers hammer stormtrooper division was marching his squad down to the hangar bay when the torpedoes hit, one of his men caught a smack on the helmet from a collapsing crossbeam that knocked him flying, 2 other troopers caught him, "Leave him, we need to get down to the hangar bay."
The stormtroopers quickened to a run as the second volley hit, they stumbled but kept their footing.
Opening the door to the hangar bay, there were 2 B-Wings and a badly battered A wing lying on the deck, splitting up the stormtroopers went 6 to a ship, Alexandros vaulted up onto the wing of the Flight leaders B-wing and ran along to the cockpit, he kicked the glass and showed the pilot a thermal detonator and motioned for him to get out or the detonator was getting stuck to his ship.
--------------------------------------------------------
Jack cursed as half of the second volley impacted on the sheilds, "Storm lead to all fighters, vector for hyperspace, meet up at the predetermined rendezvous point.
Storm squadron vectored up on him as he brought the fighters around behind the Lentha, star lines elongated as the squadron jumped into the depths of hyperspace.

'Well, this sucks.' Janus thought to himself as he ran through every possible escape plan. None were good currently, and he wasn't much of one for suicide. Not yet anyhow. He smiled as an idea popped into his head. He held a finger up to the Imperial Stormtrooper standing outside his cockpit. He dug around for a few seconds, acting like he was trying to undo his seatbelt.
He pulled a lever that jettisoned the canopy, laughing as it slammed into the stormtrooper, sending him spinning across the deck. Not the best idea, but it was pretty funny.

"Captain, all fighters are now jumping or docked. I reccomend we leave, immediately."
Alright. Hit it.
The Lentha accelerated to high speed, then popped out of the system.

The captain grabbed the passing spar of a refueling trolley, it stopped his passage with a crackling of bones, he hissed in pain as he took his carbine in one hand and pointed it at the pilot in the B-Wing, he waved to the rest of his squad ordering them in.
---------------------------------------------------------
Chris held the jump until the timer run out, then he deactivated his hyperspace drive and dropped back to normal space, looking around he saw most of the fleet, a few light capital ships were missing, then the rest of the squadron started to normal space, he flicked his S-Foils to cruise position and awaited the Lentha's arrival.

Blitz walked briskly along the corridors, helmet still tucked under one arm. He was intent on seeing the captives he'd taken, and found a scene of chaos at the first bay he visited.
"Hold your fire!" he barked loudly, as troopers..and the Captain..levelled weapons. There would be sheer hell to pay if these prisoners did not survive to enjoy the hospitality of Imperial Intelligence.
A stormtrooper staggered to his feet, alive only because his armour protected him from the impact of the ejected canopy. "Get that man to sickbay," Blitz commanded. There'd been too many casualties today already.
He strode to the battered B-wing, hand on his sidearm. "So," he said, grinning wolfishly. "You're a right proper bastard, aren't you?" he said to the rebel pilot, who scowled darkly but said nothing. "Got some spirit left in you, I see." Blitz said smoothly. He smiled broadly. "Well. I can see you've never been interrogated by Imperial experts. We know how to extract information, believe me."
The rebel pilot spat in contempt. Blitz's smile didn't fade. "Highly placed or well known prisoners get easy things..mind probes, truth serums, that sort of coddling." He swivelled his sidearm around his finger. "But common pilots, well, they don't have it so easy." The rebel's defiant glare radiated his lack of fear. "I can see you aren't afraid of us, rebel," Blitz said easily. "But you will be. You will be." He turned to the troopers. "Shackle this one thoroughly. He's a born troublemaker," he ordered, thinking that it was a damn shame this rebel wouldn't see logic and join the winning side.
Blitz spun on his heel and strode quickly to the debriefing room. The Ubiqutorate would deal with the captured pilots, unless the Secret Order got to them first.

Corban seemed to settle down as two troopers came up behind him. One grabbed his arms firmly, and the other placed two half-rings on his wrists. The rings became complete as soon as they were placed against his skin, and that was when Corban snapped again. He pulled himself away from the two troopers behind him, and swung his leg around into the rifle of a nearby troop.
The weapon went clattering away, and Corban smashed his shoulder into the Stormtrooper's chest, knocking him onto the ground. He turned as the Troopers who shackled him rushed him, and he swept his foot along the ground, tripping one. As that trooper fell, he grabbed the arm of his partner, but inertia pulled them both down to the ground. Corban jumped on the back of one, and then off again, and began to struggle to get back into his cockpit.
Six hands grabbed the back of Corban's flight suit and pried him off the remains of his B-Wing, throwing him to the floor, and another set of shackles were placed along his ankles. The three storm troopers picked Corban up, holding him on their left shoulders, and headed off for the brig.

Janus immediately repeated what the man had said, sounding exactly like him. "So? You're a right proper bastard, aren't you? Got some spirit left in you I see. Well. I can see you've never been interrogated by Imperial experts. We know how to extract information, believe me. Highly placed or well known prisoners get easy things..mind probes, truth serums, that sort of coddling." he grew bored of it quickly though and started making things up. "I'm a failure as a pilot and a man. I love men. One plus one equals twelve." he said, still in the pilots voice.

The Lentha popped out of hyperspace, and saw most of the fleet left.
Set out a wide comm broadcast.
"All fighters, dock for repair and refuel. All ships with critical casualties, prepare them for meditransport.
All fighter wings, do a headcount, then report the numbers back to the bridge."
